ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)

- Characteristics:

  • Very good impact resistance
  • Good resistance at low temperatures (-20°C) and at high temperatures (80°C)

- Examples of applications:

  • Medicine (dental, prosthesis)
  • Auto body
  • Appliances
  • Functional prototyping
  • Industrial molding
  • Parts of current use (toys, spare parts, ...)


PLA ( Polylactic acid)

-  Characteristics: 

  • Low shrinkage
  • Biodegradable plastic
  • Low mechanical properties

- Examples of applications:

  • Decorative objects and utensils
  • Toys and figurines
  • Non-functional prototyping
  • Marketing et communication
  • Model making
  • Architecture models
  • All unconstrained parts to mechanical forces


ASA ( Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate)

- Characteristics: 

  • Properties similar to ABS
  • Less shrinkage
  • Better resistance to severe climatic conditions

- Examples of applications:

  • Automotive industry
  • Any outdoor use


PC ( PolyCarbonate)

- Characteristics: 

  • Very good mechanical resistance
  • Operates at high temperatures (150 ° C) without deformation

- Examples of applications:

  • Automotive (car headlights)
  • CD / DVD
  • Motorcycle helmets
  • Safety glass
  • Medical field (tanks and receptacles)
  • Household equipment boxes


PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate)

- Characteristics: 

  • Different variants: PETG, PETE, PETT
  • Good resistance to humidity
  • High resistance to chemicals products
  • Good electrical insulator
  • Compatible with food contact
  • 100% recyclable material

- Examples of applications:

  • Food packaging and containers
  • Electrical components
  • Costume jewelry
  • Any product requiring a demanding environment


Nylon

- Characteristics:  

  • Durable and flexible
  • Good resistance to impact and abrasion
  • Good resistance to corrosion and chemicals products

- Examples of applications:

  • Medical uses
  • Automobile industry
  • Prototyping
  • Tools


TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) and TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)

- Characteristics:

  • Good resistance to impact and fatigue
  • Good flexibility properties (shape memory)

- Examples of applications:

  • Assembly parts
  • Drive belt
  • Smartphone protective cases
  • Usual objects
  • Functional prototyping / imitation rubber
